I've had a lot of free time this wintersession at RISD so I decided I'd head into the lighting studio and play around. I'd never taken a lighting course before so I started making these simple portraits to get myself acquainted with the studio, the equipment, as well as teach myself the basics of making someone look their best with simple backdrops and light.
