Waterclock Exploded View
Design Principles I
One of the assignments given during Design Principles I. Each student chose their choice of object to take apart and draw exploded view.
Objective: To create operational sequence and exploded view of a chosen object.
Step I: Sequential Photograph
Chose one object to develop its operational sequence and exploded view. Took photographs of possible steps of operationl sequence. After discussion in class, narrowed down to four possible steps. Main point of operational sequence was to explain as simply as possible.
Step II: Operational Sequence
Since 'water' was the key to waterclock, emphasized water with saturated blue. Background tinted with grey for clearer separation from object.
Step III: Exploded View
There were various ways to approach drawing exploded view of the object, but chose to establish correct dimention on illustrator and draw according to shape.
