Project: HOPE Animal Shelter
Location: Pekan Nanas, Johor, Malaysia
Design Programme: An animal shelter for strays well equipped with a vet and interaction gardens for potential adopters and pets.
Project Explanation: This is a real-life project by HOPE JB to build an animal shelter for the 1,500 dogs and 200 cats that HOPE JB is currently sheltering. Being constraint by the three main elements, Design, Time, and Cost, a group of 8 students were assigned to design 8 different original schemes of animal shelter for HOPE JB.
Project Concept & Intention: Exploration in adaptive reuse of scaffolding architecture and container architecture to speed up the construction process is my main approach for this project.
Longitudinal Sectional Perspective of my design.
Types of scaffolding shelters with various heights to accommodate for dogs and cats with various sizes, nature, and physical ability.
