Teen Mom

Teen Mom is a surrealist work about young women who go through unwanted pregnancies. A hen is personified, patiently nesting on her unhatched egg. Despite being stuck in a yellow room barely big enough for her and her egg, the hen is wearing dainty red heels, and sits upon a FENDI scarf.
With her long hair, Starbucks coffee, magazine, and stacks of literature, she is very much a young and lively lady who should be enjoying her youthful freedom to invest in herself: her education, her experiences, and her wishes
However, because of reasons such as poverty and arranged marraige, she is now nesting in a tiny room, on an egg as large as the burdens that await her and her child. She is portrayed alone, to portay the lack of aid and support from society, and the struggles she will have to burden on her own as a teen mom.
