The Seminar was organised in cooperation with the Department of Architecture, the Department of Civil and Structural Engineering, and with the Department of Design. Professor Antti Ahlava (the head of the Department of Architecture) and Professor Juha Paavola (the head of Civil and Structural Engineering) gave the task to organize the seminar to Dr. Markku Lappalainen, the Research Fellow (from the department of Design) and to Tiina Laurila, the head of Creative Sustainability – program in Aalto. Designing a framework for a cross-disciplinary workshop,facilitation, and assisting with the programme development and marketing, was my main task for this project.

       Within the framework of Aalto University multidisciplinary learning there were two agendas to the seminar and workshops for Sustainable Built Environment 2014. One of them was to unite the three departments together, Engineering, Design, and Architecture for these two estimated seminar days as well as the other, to form a collaboration with Harvard University’s architecture department.
