"Jiffy" Baking Mixes rebrand

Challenge:
Redesign "Jiffy" instant baking mixes.

Concept:
Jiffy Mixes is a trusted and beloved brand in the North American household that dates back to the 1930. The story goes that Mabel White Holmes felt sorry for two little boys who went to school with her twin sons who's mother had recently passed. Their father, now in charge of feeding his two sons, sent the boys to school with what Mabel described as "frightful looking sandwiches." Inspired by this man's complete lack of culinary ability, Mabel created boxed baking mixes that could be... yep, you guess it: Made in a "Jiffy".

The Jiffy brand boasts having done very little to their boxes' general look and feel over the years in efforts to keep costs low on their product. So how does one go about giving such a beloved brand a facelift?

The mixes are known for coming in what is affectionaly called "little blue boxes". The little blue boxes were combined with a flowing red ribbon on the top that added up to the product's timelessly iconic feel. The colors and the images of the product on the boxes were old and tired, however, and hardly appetizing anymore.

The result is a refreshed and cleanly vectorized version of the cover that has brought a badly needed modern touch to a timeless brand.
