This custom serving table was commissioned by the charming Grindstone Café on Herald Street. The design is based on the historical Johnson Street bridge (which is soon to be replaced in 2016). The Grindstone Café features this iconic Victoria landmark on their business cards. After noticing the bridge on the café’s business card, we decided to pay a little tribute to it, creating a base inspired by this memorable “Blue Bridge”. All the wood used for this project was provided by the café’s owners and saved for a special project like this one. It features a beautiful live edge walnut slab and a distressed pine shelf.
