The Nuheat Signature is the first WiFi enabled thermostat for electrical floor heating. I designed the graphical user interface as part of an eight month process together with the Nuheat. This is a premium product with a 3.5 inch touch screen which is meant to elevate the user experience to a new level of usability.
Throughout the design process, I especially enjoyed working with the Product Management and Marketing team at Nuheat in order to better understand the requirements of the North American market.
I regard to day to day utlization scenarios, as well as programming the thermostat for weekly heating, we went through numerous design iterations. The goal was to obtain a product that was easy to use, descriptive in operation, with an exclusive look and feel.
The thermostat was accompanied by an iOS and Android app, as well as a website. They enable remote control of the main thermostat functions (heating, programming, energy consumption overview). I also designed the interfaced for the two apps and the web portal, in close accordance to the Nuheat web branding.
The Nuheat Singature app is available for download from the App Store and Google Play and has a demo mode.
