The Westfjords

 

I went there in early June, before the summer’s peak, with a specific purpose of capturing the island’s mood waking from winter. And went to a more remote region I have been wanting to go for a long time in order to get that: the Westfjords, a region somehow neglected by Icelanders and away from the tourist buses, glacier lagoons  and pretty waterfalls. This is a subset of a larger gallery dedicated to the area I’ll post later on.
