The Eyes of Trees

  • Coldworking Final | Fall 2014

On my many walks to and from my dorm, I began to take notice of the vacancies nestled within the trees along the way. These scars became places I wanted to work with, sparking an interest in the interaction of the tree's inside and outside spaces. I didn't include all 10 "eyes" below, because the piece is meant to exist through chance glimpses, with that peculiar flash of sunlight out the corner of your eye, in that brief moment of discovery.
  • The map given to my class, for them to interact with the piece at their own pace.
