Dot com mob logo design
Dot Com Mob aims to improve the lives of Indigenous and Torres Strait Islanders living in remote communities. This is the evolution and the thinking process behind the Dot Com Mob logo design.
These are the initial thoughts based on the business objectives and the soul of the organisation.

Once a more clear direction has been identified, the colour has been introduced into the concepts. The initial palette came from the idea of representing the environment in which these remote communities live in.
After another round of refinements, based on internal reviews with the Creative Director and the Creative Team, we presented two solid concepts.
Option 1 rationale
This logo portrays the spirit of unity and wholeness through the concentric circles. The lighter circles around the central dot connote a centric force, which is also accentuated by the white circumference and line connecting the three ‘O’.
The clean and soft shapes express the nature of the organization, trustworthy, modern and social.
The colours are representative of the Australian soil and sky.

The use of dots in this logo allude at the idea of connection, marriage of portions.
The solid structure of it, evoking glass architecture, declares the solid, well established and transparent nature of the organization.
A clean and simple typography complement the rest of the element without overpowering it.

The client expressed a strong preference toward the first option. The integration of elements, that would make a stronger association with the Indigenous art, was one of the client's feedback. The client provided a couple of images as reference to evoke Indigenous' landscape and art.
