Friendlyglow is here to make you look better online. Simply select a filter on the homepage, and Friendlyglow presents you with a color spectrum that harnesses the light from your computer screen to produce a flattering lighting scheme. Friendlyglow is designed to be used in conjunction with video-communication applications like Skype and Facetime. For best results, turn up the brightness of the screen and tilt it forward. Maximize the Friendlyglow window and bring this window to the forefront of your screen.
I designed this series of filters informed by lighting principles. I took inspiration from language used in cosmetic packaging and on apps like Instagram and VSCOcam. The live website can be found here, and photographs documenting the website's effects via Skype can be seen below.
