Sasquatch Sculpture

I had acquired a large supply of enormous tree stumps that I had plans to make furniture out of. As I used an ax and chainsaw to create the furniture pieces I had got an idea to reuse the "small" pieces for another purpose. I saved them for a day and got the inspiration to make this sasquatch. It is entirely made of wood chips that I fit like a puzzle to make. There are only three modified pieces of wood on this entire sasquatch that measures almost four foot tall and a little more then two foot wide. This piece was for my own practice and was meant to be a prototype for a larger scale enventually. It took three weeks to make, working for only a few hours day and took almost 25 hours to make. There were convos over making a face for it but I decided that it was not needed.
I do not have pictures of the very beginning. I started the chest and worked from there to the arms and legs.
It sat without a head for a long time until I could decide and get the "zenspiration" for how I wanted it to look.
I had plans to stain him from the beginning once all of the components were properly secured and in place.  Unfortunately though, It stained much darker then anticipated so i plan to leave it out in the sun to sun bleach and even out next summer. It was very difficult and very frustrating to get to the point of completion but I am very happy that I followed through and think that it turned out pretty good for no prior experience.
Thank you very much for viewing!
