I had the opportunity to be a part time draftsperson with a company that designed and built modular camp facilities for the Alberta Oil Industry. These structures were drawn in house, built in an on-site facility, and trucked out and assembled on site. These facilities provided not only remote offices and temporary housing, but recreation, restaurant facilities and a place to call home while away from their loved ones.
