Scandit Self-Checkout App

The application is a tool that brings instant access to detailed product and inventory information to customers. Allows to quickly add products to a shopping list or cart by simply scanning their barcodes, and pay faster in an in-store checkout terminal.

I worked with Scandit's development team to create a Demo app to show the performance of the barcode scanner SDK. The look and feel should be generic enough to be used in the future as a template app for Scandit's clients. We made that possible using muted colors and icons that resemble the iOS native style.
This GIF is a quick prototype made in Keynote, showing the shopping process using the app built-in scanner.

After clicking the "Checkout" button, the user transfers the account to the cashier scanning the barcode at the checkout station. The transaction is completed by the cashier. There's no need to scan the items manually, and the user just have to pay.
Style Guide
This is just an small example of the general guidelines delivered to the engineering team, to ensure consistency with the mockups when start coding. The UI style guide covers  branding, usage of colors, and page layout.
The purpose of this guide is to have a common visual vocabulary so engineers can concentrate on coding using simple and global style rules.
