A 3D poster for SON LUX at Decibel Festival 2014 in Seattle, WA. Made entirely from hand-folded, reflective paper.
The concept and technique for the poster stemmed from the word “lux”, the SI unit of illuminance. Thus, the challenge was to create a piece that relies solely on reflected light and environmental luminosity. The reflective surface of the poster creates a dialog with viewer, responding to the light and color of its surroundings.
Reproduced in three editions and exhibited at the EMP Museum in fall 2014.
