How to Get Away With Murder

My final project for my Intro to Digital Course. We were asked to create a movie poster or book jacket based on a current event. I chose to represent the events of Ferguson and the current #BlackLivesMatter movement. I referenced the poster of Shonda Rhimes' "How to Get Away With Murder" starring Viola Davis because it is a popular show among the target audience of my piece. The show embodies the corruption and politics of the legal system. The purpose of the #Blacklivesmatter movement is to highlight the systems of inequality, racial inequity and racism that have led to high rates of incarceration among African Americans, police brutality, and the militarization of the police.
