The Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Hobbit are some of the most popular books in the world.  Since the creation of Peter Jackon's films, the overwhelming majority of book covers involve images and characters from the films.  I wanted to develop four book covers to visually represent important elements from each of the novels.  All of the imagery that was selected is vague enough to not ruin the plot for first time readers, but still iconic for anyone who has read the books before to recignize what is going on.
