Realistic Eye Study in Vectors

If you have seen my Idioms collection you will know of the project I'm working on with college for techniques and processes and how I've split my illustrator-generated images into themed groups. This particular image is from my anatomy collection, which is as of yet incomplete. However, I was so thrilled with my work on this one that I had to post it A.S.A.P. Basically, using the Gradient Mesh tool and the pen tool I managed to create this pretty realistic (although not photo-realistic) rendering of my own eye. I'm infinitely proud of myself for this, It's far greater a piece than I expected to produce throughout this project.
I have also made a tutorial for this, detailing my process and how I came to get this final image, however, when I showed it to my tutor he was thrilled and we're currently working on getting it published in a design magazine, so I don't want to spoil things by posting it online. If it gets published I'll post details at the bottom, if it doesnt I will provide you with the tutorial I put together. Enough talking, please, enjoy :)
