The Urban Walls

"TheWalls of the City" can be described as follows: I began photographing thegrafitti and "posters" on the walls of my home town, a fairly commonprocedure in art. Then I decided I could go further and obtain objects thatwere interesting plastically, working on the slides, scratching, painting, oreven burning or melting them. Sometimes I also use coloured or transparentpaper and stick it on the film. In a next phase of the work, the film isscanned and lambda prints, 40 inches across, are produced. I also use aluminiumto print on or even canvas; in that case, again, the canvas is painted in orderto obtain the final effect.
