London Skies
Clouds & Skies over London
One might not fancy the London weather. It's ever changing, almost to the point where every street might just as well have it's own forecast. Yet this makes up with some the most superb sunsets and clouds formations you're likely to find over a city of this size. These are some pictures I took of these beautiful skies. They are my first pictures of this kind, I hope you enjoy them and please leave your feedback.
Picture of the London Shard against a cloudy sky, taken from the Millennium Bridge near Tate Modern. I like how the tower seems to have no beginning, continuously rising into the clouds.
Picture of the early afternoon skies over Pimrose HIll near Regents Park.
Another picture of the skies on a early afternoon, taken on Pimrose Hill near Regents Park.
This picture was taken in Richmond Park, Richmond not long after sunrise. I has hoping for a clear sunrise, yet the clouds at the horizon covered the sun, but not completely.
Sunset over West End, London. One of the many amazing sunset you can see over western London. This picture was taken in Paddington, from the office building where I work. The building in the foreground are from Paddington and Bayswater. In the distance, near the horizon you can catch a glimpse of an airplane preparing to land at Heathrow Airport.
Another sunset over western London. In the immediate foreground Paddington and the estates of Bayswater. Further in the distance Sheppard's Bush and Hammersmith.
Blood red sunset over Bayswater. Although I played around with the color curves, the summer sunsets in London really give you the impression that the sky is literally on fire.
