Sleeping Beauty Poster

I added the original images I used in this project below.
I started with a 27x40 black background. I added another layer and used the gradient tool with pink color to create a radial gradient over the black background. I added another layer and used the same technique with white to give the center a brighter glow.
Next I opened the image of the girl. I applied HDR toning to the entire image with Edge Glow> Radius: 191 px, Strengeth: 2.56, Smooth Edges; Tone and Detail> Gamma: 1.00, Exposure: -3.20, Detail: +24%; Advanced> Shadow: -35%, Highlight: +69%, Vibrance: +55%, Saturation:+17%. Then I used the Quick Selection Tool to select the girl from the image and duplicate her into another layer. I then copied and pasted that layer into my poster. Next I duplicated her layer in the poster project and changed the Blend Mode to Multiply with 53% Opacity and linked the two layers together. This gave Sleeping Beauty a glow to her skin.
I added a sky backdrop to give a little texture to the top of the poster and lowered the Opacity to 21%. It was enough to give it that textured look of clouds while still letting the gradient layers be seen.
I wanted to put a modern twist on the story so I added a ferris wheel instead of a spinning wheel to the story. I used the Quick Selection Tool again with the ferris wheel to select the parts I wanted but there was nothing quick about it and I think it still came out a bit sloppy. After selecting all I wanted I cropped the bottom off and copied it into the poster project. There I opened the Hue/Saturation box and changed the Preset to Old Style. I then adjested the Hue, Saturation, and Lightness slider bars until I got the look I wanted.
I added a small fairy to the mix and copied it out of its original image using the Quick Selection Tool. I then applied Effects to the tiny fairy to give it a glowing appearance. I used the Effects Inner Glow and Outer Glow. Inner Glow had the Blend Mode Lighter Color, Opacity: 14%, Noise: 11%; Elements: Technique: Softer, Source: Centered, Choke: 100%, Size: 196 px, The Outer Glow had Blend Mode: Soft Light, Opacity: 56%, Technique: Precise, Spread: 65%, Size: 59 px.
Finally, I added all the text. I created the title first, Sleeping Beauty. I used Parchment as the font for the title but changed the font to Blackadder ITC for all other text. I applied many effects to Sleeping Beauty then I created a New Style, saving all the effects I used on the title so I could apply them to the rest of the text. The Effects I used on the text are Bevel & Emboss> Structure: Style: Pillow Emboss, Technique: Chisel Soft, Direction: Up, Size: 35 px, Soften: 4 px. Stroke> Structure: SIze: 1, Position: Outside, Blend Mode: Multiply, Color: f7c8c8. Inner Glow> Blend Mode: screen, Opacity: 80%, Noise: 2%, Color: ffbecc, Elements: Technique: Soft, Source: Edge, Choke: 92%, Size: 2 px. Satin> Blend Mode: Multiply, Opacity: 50%, Distance: 11 px, Size: 14 px. These settings were applied to all text.

I added the mad scientist to the poster and I think it looks ok. I used Quick Selection Tool to select the part of the image I wanted, then I copied it into the poster. I opened the Hue/Saturation box and changed the Preset to Old Style, then changed the hue, saturation, and lightness. Next I changed the Opacity to 50% to give it a creepy "I'm watching you" vibe. I changed the name of the star actor in the top to reflect a male character.

Below are the original images I used to create this project.
