Architecture // Architectural Design
Professor: Jason Wood
Year: Spring 2012
This six-week project was conducted through an agreement and collaboration of RISD architecture students and the Chinese Christian Church located in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. An adjacent YMCA and daycare plan on using this site as well. This design-build project's mission was to improve and develop a communal, public space that brings awareness to the polluted Pawtucket River. We are proud to say that we are one of the first to occupy the river and set precedent for future use. It creates not only a place for exploration but also a hub for education and communal relaxation.
