While in Rome I was asked by Airbnb to go to Florence and photograph specific sites around the city to be featured on their website. They have these special projects occurring all over the world using freelancers to photograph cities that they want to advertise on their website to get people interested in visiting those places. 

 

I rode the train from Rome at six in the morning and spent just a brief 14 hours or so getting lost and making my own discoveries around the city. I'd never been to Florence before so it was a really wonderful opportunity to get a chance to photograph and explore the city on my own time. Note for the future: avoid wearing newly purchased trendy platform shoes in a city made up entirely of cobblestone. Severe blisters for days.
