The Brief: to design a book based around sandwiches. I choose dessert sandwiches and created a recipe book.

 

The aim of this book is to encourage men to bake and present baking in a more masculine way. Many men enjoy baking and most men enjoy eating baked goods, so my aim was to get men baking in the kitchen.

 

The main design for the book creates a theme that runs throughout; each image is a seperate lino cut, inspired from the ingredients and tools used for baking the products within the book. I took several prints from each lino cut, so that I had a variety to choose from for the final design. The seperate prints were scanned in and arranged into a final composition using photoshop.

 

I also baked and photographed all the food within the recipe book myself and came up with a concept from an app version of the book.
