The goal for this project was to develop a central space to bring together local residents and visiting tourists of Boston’s historic North End district. The result was a community space that combines a public library and integrated cafe, with a performing arts public forum, using an organizational system of undulating strips, derived from the overlapping movement of Chinese dance ribbons.
