Kunye is a line of skin care products, handmade by Melissa Nkomo. She designs her products for each individuals skin, using only the freshest and highest quality ingredients available.
In isiZulu, Kunye means ‘One’ – which reflects the essence of the brand. It is about taking time for yourself, taking care of your skin and only enhance it with natural products.
Lake created her brand, stationery and packaging. The wordmark used the idea of ‘One’ by integrating the number into the letter ‘K’. The pattern created is based on a microscopic view of healthy skin cells, which form beautiful and mesmerizing shapes.
The packaging is designed to be versatile and economic. Kunye is a starting business with a large amount of products in different shapes and sizes. In order to keep printing cost down, Lake created a system that works for the large variety of labels.
