To the Edge of the Earth

Travel narration of a couple,
who had a journey to the Edge of the Earth.

The journey had been started in Lemberg (Ukraine) and finished in the city,
situated on the Edge of the Earth — Vladivostok.

This story found its expression in series of graphic images.
They all are united by the idea of a moving from one point to another, from one destination to the next one, passing through the places without leaving anything after your going. Only feeling between
two people follows them everywhere.
Changing of the cities, trains, airplanes – was merely a background, that encouraged two people feeling to grow up.

5 images mark the biggest stop-points on the traveler couple’s road and illustrate the panoramic view
of 3 cities: Lemberg (Lviv), Sevastopol, Vladivostok.
Another 2 depict the landscapes on the road to Edge of the Earth.

Series of 7 graphic works have been created with mixed technique, combines hand-made illustrations, represented as a digital prints for the following overprinting of the linocut elements (trees silhouette). Illustrations were made with white and sepia pastel pencils on a kraft paper.

The idea has been represented as a framed original illustrations and a set of postcards.
