Illustration Project 10/2014

For the final Drawing project of the year, we were given several topics to illustrate. The first one was to create a realistic version of a famous cartoon character, the second was to create a monster in the style of our favourite illustrator (I just chose anime as a style, no specific illustrator), the third was to create a creature  illustration based on the African goblin, Tokoloshe, the fourth was to create an infographic on a randomly picked statistic (I was given serial killers), and the last one was to illustrate an animal in its natural environment (I was given meerkat) in our own style. This is the progress I have made so far. It's not the complete brief. Feel free to comment and criticise.

The two images that were chosen for my final hand-in. The Ben 10 and Goblin

Below are other ideas I had
My first idea for the monster was the Grim Reaper, in the style of Shaun Hill (South African illustrator).
Meerkat. I decided to make a female version of Timone from the Lion King. The page i was using was smaller than i thought it was so it ended up cutting off the top of the head. This isn't the final version
Anime style werewolf
Tokoloshe drawing. Every culture seems to have some form of a goblin-esque creature so I just drew a generic goblin-looking creature
I have no idea what this is. I just drew circles, then added random details.
This is another idea i had for the monster. I wanted to do a mechanical 6-legged creature. I didn't finish it though, because I just moved on to the werewolf
