I was trying to perfect my take on that green dress from the movie 'Atonement', it's harder than it looks.  Vintage silk on 12 inch Integrity doll (Adele), my repaint.

I was experimenting with Japanese dyeing techniques.  Pieces of silk were cut out first, then hand dyed, I wanted a feathered effect.  Inspired by Jean-Paul Gaultier.  I won a little OOAK competition in Chicargo in 2011 from Integrity with this dress.  Doll is 12 inch Elise by Intrity, my repaint.  The dress was called 'Kingfisher'.

Inspired by Jean-Paul Gaultier again, Japanese silk with silk tulle ruffle, faux fur jacket.  Integrity doll Veronique re-rooted with French mohair (a long, boring job), my repaint.

I had been looking at the Haiga Sofia paintings, and wondering what it was like wearing 12th century dress.  Indian silk brocade over a plain silk under-dress.  I made the dress to go with the fresh-water pearl and glass bead jewelry I had been trying to get to look like the Empress Theodora.  Oh well...  The dress is edged with hand dyed rabbit fur from Native Sun (USA).

12 Inch Integrity doll (Ayumi), my repaint, although I think she looks a bit cross-eyed, will have to fix that.  Silk dress with an over lay of vintage Alencon lace, hand beaded here and there to give it weight.  The little had is also silk and lace, the lace flowers glued onto the silk and cut out, then beaded.
