Key Art Comps for History's The World Wars

A+E Networks, History Channel, The World Wars Key Art Comps. This is the first time that I was given a shot at doing the Key Art for a shows off-air advertising campaign. The designs aren't that great but they do show where I started at with Key Art and comping.
The "hook" of The World Wars is that it shows key players from World War II like Hitler, Roosevelt, Churchill, Patton and Stalin during World War I and how the events of that war shaped their world view. The historic figures are portrayed by young and older actors. This comp was my first attempt and I wanted to show the young and older Churchill actors split by barbed wire. I used photography that had already been retouched and manipulated. All that I had to do was warp the features of the two actors together for alignment.
These two are pretty pedestian. Tear away style graphics for some sort of dramatic grit.

These two are a better take on the concept I was exploring with the torn graphics. I wanted to portray some drama but also how each man was fractured in some way from their experiences in World War I
