Photoplace: the first in the "Photoplace" series focused largely on the use of the comparison of pixel color data and uses built in filter functions to to marry the text artworks created with the different locations captured photographically.
Metatext; graphic score using the combination of photomanipulation and typeset appropriation to address the sense of place within an image and any possible associations to sound media through visual perception/sensory appartuses.
Typographic constructions based on the notion of symmetries found within patterns created by sound, such as Chladni patterns. Created in Adobe Illustrator methods of kerning and typographic illustration were applied to create an image file to then be combined with a photo of a place with the name of the same letter.
multiple methods of image manipulation were experimented with for this project as well as the use of various softwares and programmatic platforms.
