This is the final logo re-design done for the Palmetto Predators lacrosse team, one of the first projects I have done professionally. Their old logo was out dated and very unprofessional looking, so they commissioned me to make it modern and edgy.

I stuck with the idea of the Predator from the movie, since their original design was an illustration of the predator with a lacrosse stick, but made it into an icon. From there, I used sharper edges and less detail to give it a fierce feel, and laid the lacrosse sticks into a skull and crossbones pattern to add some intimidation. Here it is centered between the name of the team.

Since the team is named after the palmetto tree, the state symbol of South Carolina, I chose to include the symbol in the predator's helmet to make it easily recognizable as the team from South Carolina.
