A two-sided 3x4 prayer card for a woman's religious order, the Sisters of Life. The design was inspired by Sr. Maris Stella, SV and it depicts elements pertaining to her namesake.
Front: Vector illustration of the Virgin Mary under her title Star of the Sea: She stands atop an anchor symbolizing hope, holding Christ her Son, the Light of safe passage (think lighthouse). I started off with an idea of a personal monogram logo until I was inspired to create a fuller image for use as a holy card. To match the overall minimilistic design, I left the faces of the Madonna and Child without detail.
