Alteryx.com needed a design system to ensure a consistent and cohesive visual and functional experience across all its pages and elements. By establishing a set of standardized guidelines and components, we created a modernized design system that helps maintain Alteryx's brand identity, making it easily recognizable and cohesive. This system streamlines the design process for all future web projects, enabling designers and developers to collaborate more efficiently and reduce redundancies. By incorporating aesthetics from Alteryx's Onyx Product Design System and the marketing brand library, the web component library aims to unite both marketing and product design with an enhanced user experience, allowing visitors to navigate the site with ease and familiarity.
Before I joined Alteryx, the site lacked a componentized design system, relying on Illustrator and Photoshop for all operating files. Collaborating with a team of developers and another Artistic Director, we bridged the design and technology gap by creating a new Figma design library and working with developers to build a 1:1 reusable components library on the web stack.
