Underwater treasure

Inspired by the Acropolis of Athens. The shells embedded in the clay represent the way in which Greek culture hugs the sea, which is viewed as the source of origin and prosperity. This piece intends to remind us of the limited natural resources that we use for our convenience. One of them is sand. Sand is the second most used resource in the world after water (50 billion tonnes extracted yearly) as we use it for the construction industry, glass making,  phones, mirrors, credit/debit cards, clay, and the list goes on.
The materials used were two clay bodies: Soldate 60 for the structure, and porcelain slip for a white color coat. The sea shells and rocks are natural.
