Escape / cover artwork

Just a few days ago I stumbled across some nice old-skool-sounding tunes and did a remix/mash-up using some of them. My guilty pleasure is creating covers for tracks like this, so I decided to blend two original artworks of the releases I used. Like, as if to mash-up the album covers as well!

See the original references below.
Audioweb’s ‘Fireworks City’ (Mother Records, 1998) and ‘Ruf Diamonds Volume 2’ compilation (Ruf Beats, 1998) were the sources of inspiration. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any details about the designers of the original ones — let me know in the comments below if you know who is behind these artworks!

Check what came out next.
I used Alternate Gothic for ‘Escape’. The main title font is Helvetica.
‘This track has been dedicated to real hip-hop’
I also created a simple video loop to accompany the audio, adapting the square cover to 16:9. This gem won’t get too many views, but the lyrics and the beats here are just perfect: this is my bootleg remix/mash-up of Unanimous’ ‘Escape’. Kudos to the Jeep Beat Collective and Dave Davies.

Vocal: Unanimous Decision’s ‘Escape’ (‘Ruf Diamonds Volume 2’, Ruf Beats, 1998)
Music: Audioweb’s ‘Try’, ‘Policeman Skank’ and ‘Out Of My Mind’ (‘Fireworks City’, Mother Records, 1998)
I’d really appreciate your feedback in the comments. Thank you for your time.

I did a nice mash-up & created a cover for it by blending original artworks of the releases I used. Like, as if to mash-up the LP covers as well!
