Project#4 Display Type Design with Project#9 Book Cover

            2001 A Space             Odyssey, Featuring:
Star-splotion!
My Typography class in Farmingdale State Collage and I created our own personal display font designs, using Helvetica as a base. We would then trace over the letters first before creating a concept for how we would differ from the original type. Weeks later, we had to choose a book to create a cover for in order to use our typeface for the title, along with using Adobe Firefly to create an A.I. image for the main image in the background of our type, making two of them before choosing one that looks the best.
The original Display font called "Star-splotion".
The first thumbnail sketches of Cover 1.
Thumbnail sketches for Cover 2.
Inverted Display Font.
I cut out the letters of the font and placed them in order, physically, for both of the covers. This was easier for me to do than using Adobe Indesign.
Final Book Cover Design.
