Archigram Pastiche

A pastiche is a work of visual art, literature, theater, music, or architecture that imitates the style or character of the work of one or more other artists. Unlike parody, pastiche celebrates, rather than mocks, the work it imitates.

The Archigram movement was chosen as a subject of research and inspiration. Using this movement as inspiration, a poster was generated to promote a current event on the University of Nebraska - Lincoln's campus.

Data is layered into the image, covering the analysis of a specific geographical site. The graphic is a way for the creator to process and interpret data about a place. Weather data, material studies, architectural site planning, and a survey of a historic graphic movement are all layered into the composition thus assisting the creator in their understanding of the subject. The poster is both product and process.
