Stop motion animation is what I did for a school project. The task was to create a 5-second stop motion animation using my favorite font as a character. I chose Fredericka The Great because it looks crafty to me.

Modeling the character out of play dough was quick, but I struggled to decide what my character would do on camera. It took me a couple of days to think of an animation plot. Eventually, I decided that my character would be looking at itself in the mirror. I created the scene and started taking photos.

Once the image sequence was ready, I realized that my character turned out to be very joyful and playful. So, I looked for a music piece that matched the character's movements. I chose an old foxtrot, and it dictated how I styled the final video. I used texture, filters, and vignettes to make my animation look like a retro movie.

I have to say, I was amused with the result. I loved it immediately and felt confident enough to share it on my social media.
