Goal:
To visually map out the relationship between types of play and facilitators as a way to better understand play types.
Process:
I started out by creating a list of playtypes and their facilitators. Then I picked 9 facilitators that occured the most and related them to playtypes, creating a profile disk for each type of play.
Exploration:
Playing with the grouping methods helps to visualize connections or segregations between play types and facilitators.
Insights on defining play:
While creating these profiles for each play type helped to visualize and understand the relation between types of play and their facilitators, the boundaries between these types are often not clear cut.
The definition of play types and their facilitators are heavily influenced by my personal preferences and judgement.
