Accenture aimed to create an interactive experience to showcase their pioneering satellite technology.
Space Sat Rescue is a futuristic experience designed to develop sensitivity to environmental issues caused by industrialisation. The experience showcases how satellite technology can help in the early detection of disasters and alert authorities with steps to rectify them.
The experience has two disaster scenarios: oil spill and forest fire. In both modes, the player uses satellites to analyse the disaster and resolve it

Research
Secondary research was conducted on oil spills and forest fires. The objective was to find out what causes them and how they are treated.
User flow
The experience is linear with two disaster scenarios: oil spill and forest fire. The player selects a scenario at the beginning.
In the selected scenario’s experience, the player is monitoring hotspots on Earth when a pop-up appears alerting about a disaster. The player uses satellites to analyse the disaster and resolve it.
The resolution is gamified and different for both scenarios:
- For an oil spill, the player creates an oil boom to contain the spill and then places skimmers to recover oil.
- For a forest fire, the player guides a fire-extinguishing drone on the most optimal path to extinguish the fire.
