In our studio, we were working on the topic of scarcity and temporarity at the historic site in Paestum. Our team chose to design a cheese factory and envisioned it as a temporary structure. The site we selected is situated near the ancient wall and in front of the tower, serving as one of the main attraction points and positioned close to the main entrance of the historic park. The idea was to reconsider the linear process of cheese production and transform it into a vertical one. Additionally, we aimed to create a stark contrast with the existing tower to clearly indicate that the structure is new.
