THE SUNSKN PROJECT. This is personal project that I challenged myself to do.
These are the important information I set for myself at the beginning.
I needed some visuals to explain the brand, so I searched up some images that would best explain the brand image I was aiming for.
An essential part of a brand is the logo. Based off the information I had and the images, I built a logo that portrays the brand through its looks and colors.
The colors were inspired from the image ideation.  The font was because I wanted it to be clean (hence the sans serif font) but also portraying summer, so not too formal (hence the serif font). The icon portrays the idea of the sun , the waves and closeup of the human skin. The colors add a summer feeling to it.
Now that the logo is figured out, it is time to build the branding template.
A lot of this is taken from the logo. Since it is a sustainable brand, I chose light colors that do not waste much ink.. The icons feel very playful and yet simple.
And just like that! The packaging of the first two products were designed. I wanted it to feel very minimal and not overcrowded with information, but still convey that summer feel.
Building on the brand identity, socials still portray the same feeling wanted. The wave-like designs accentuate on the logo and the colors reminds us of the brand. The tote bag is a little different but we still feel this flowy summer breeze with the intertwined design.
To reflect on this, it was great to work on. It portrays me, my design style and my interest (being a skincare girlie). I relate to this project a lot through the image it has and how simple yet effective it is. It communicates without much words and that is my biggest goal in designing.
