Carlos Mello's profile

Instituto Above

Introducing briefly, Above emerged more than 10 years ago in Mozambique with the mission of providing young people with technical and practical knowledge for the job market, and has established itself as one of the reference brands in professional training in the country. In addition to the visual translation of its values and personality, we were challenged to reconstruct its coat of arms, which was not very functional, and bring its visual ecosystem to life.
Professionalism
Excellence
Knowledge
Tradition
Organization

Each element within a visual system has a reason and must be explored in concept and functionality. In addition to the visual feelings that a coat of arms and its iconography provoke in the education market, our concern was to build a modern system that gave voice to the company's values and that enabled not only the responsiveness of the logo, but also that its structure could be explored.
Through an immersive and authorial creation process, we redesigned the coat of arms so that, in addition to transmitting their meanings individually, they can co-exist with solidity and visual harmony, reinforcing the values and feelings mentioned previously also through as a whole, in a more modern and flexible way.

Project published in the international curatorship World Brand Design Society.
