All images are of my older brother as he was the most willing to help with this project. The first two images were taken around midday. These photos were only taken using natural sunlight as I do not have any other backgrounds or lighting fixtures for photography. I like the first image more than the second even though they both seem a little blurry and quite dark. I used a 50mm lens and a tripod to steady my balance and get eye level with my brother. We both preferred the way the images of him looked in black and white even though he did say it looked like he had died.
This second set of images were taken in the evening around 5pm. It was quite bright out still as the sun was directly behind me taking the photos. I prefer this second attempt as they are much crisper and in focus. They are a bit better exposed which is always an issue for me as I tend to underexpose all my images (I like it alot more that way). Again only natural daylight and a tripod were used as further equipment. This was my first serious attempt at portraits and I'm pretty proud of how they turned out. These particular images were chosen due to the preferred posture and facing of the subject, the perfect focus and correct lighting.
