With 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, living/dining, storage, and a kitchen, this apartment at the Havelock City Complex, a well-known high-end apartment complex in Colombo, was expressly built for a retired couple looking for very simple décor. The main goal in designing this apartment was to create a modern, minimalistic, crisp, clean, clutter-free aesthetic that was excellent for stress-free living. Our team took great attention while com bining different colours and textures on the inside to create a warm and inviting environment. The employment of diverse elements and materials in the living room, such as linen, wall textures, soft wool textiles and rugs, and so on, contribute to a calming picture for the residents. The master bedroom has been created to provide a sense of warmth and comfort. In the bedroom, drapery, bedding, cushions, and rugs in a variety of textures including linen, wool, and cotton give comfort while retaining a minimalistic contemporary aesthetic. A low height bed was selected to provide more convenience to the client, keeping in mind the fundamental demand of the design. The window day bed, which was installed as an extra component in the master suite, provides additional sitting while also serving as a place to relax during the day and enjoy the stunning morning and evening views. A study was built alongside a bookshelf to be utilized for reading and working. The usage of lighting was more natural than the light fixtures with clean lines because the concept is a very minimalistic contemporary design. This custom-designed contemporary, cozy, and comfortable interior are appropriate for the customer who is retired.
