XIA is an art studio that offers a curated collection of fine artworks, personalized recommendations, and seamless purchasing processes. XIA ensures a hassle-free experience from acquisition to display.
The problem:
Many art studios' and galleries' websites lack efficient online shopping functionality, with some not offering it at all. These sites often feature outdated designs, lack responsiveness, and provide ineffective product browsing experiences.
The goal:
Design an Art Studio Website that is responsive and user-friendly, providing an efficient and simple online shopping procedure.
User research: summary
For this part of the project, I conducted interviews, and based on that information, I later created empathy maps, personas, and journey maps. Through this process, I learned that art studios' and galleries' websites often fail to meet the needs of users who want to purchase art online. Many users find themselves needing to physically visit the shop to complete their purchases, which prolongs the process and often leads to frustration, sometimes causing users to abandon the process altogether.
