Another illustrative label for Alberta Lane Brewing. This time we're revisiting the hop cop character as he enjoys a day off in Santa Monica. This character first made an appearance on Alberta's Hop Pursuit design I worked on back in 2023. I expect we'll be seeing more of him in the future as well.

Sketches

As usual I started with a series of composition sketches. From talking with the client I had a pretty firm idea of what we were aiming for and what kinds of things we wanted to include in the artwork, so this was mainly just to find an arrangement that felt the best.

Final Sketch

Sketches went over great and we decided to combine a couple things from the first two sketches into a final revised sketch.

The final sketch got the thumbs up with a few small notes and now it was time to knock out the artwork.
