Project Overview
------------------------------------
This project was made for my Advanced Graphic Design Class and the objective for this project was to create a portrait of a pet using the mixer brush. The goal was to learn more about using the mixer brush in Photoshop. I was provided with two mixer brush presets to use to create this pet painting. The two types of brush presets I was given were a wet and dry brush.
When making this project, I mainly used the dry brush preset to create this painting. I made small brush strokes going with the fur of the cat in the picture I chose. For the eyes of the cat, I chose to go in one direction smoothing out the pupil of the eye. For the background, we were tasked with using the mixer brush to make a pattern or abstract design behind the cat. I chose to use a radial gradient with a dark and light turquoise color to help complement the gray and tan fur of the cat. I then use the mixer brush with a bigger stroke to smear and smudge the coloring into a slight blend making it look like a burst behind the painting to help it pop.
